Pandemonium were one of the first bands to sign a deal with Brian Slagel's fledgling Metal Blade Records in the early 80's. Like any other early Metal Blade signing they began their career by appearing on the first Metal Massacre compilation together with bands like Metallica and Bitch. The band was formed in Alaska in 1981 by the three Resch brothers Chris, Eric and David. In 1982 they relocated to Los Angeles and teamed up with Chris Latham and Dave Graybill. The drummer Kevin Fitzgerald played with them on the Metal Massacre compilation. On Thanksgiving 1982 they played a show at the Troubadour with Metallica and Malice as the headlining act. Apparently Metallica drew 17 people, Pandemonium 120 and Malice 64 people to that show.
